William Snyder

William R. Snyder, age 65, passed away on January 4, 2017. He was born in Barberton on March 17, 1951 to the late William and Gladys Snyder. Bill was park manager of Craftsman Park in the Portage Lakes and retired from the State of Ohio. He was an active member of the Masonic Victory Lodge #649. Bill enjoyed helping others, traveling and most importantly spending time with his family. Preceded in death by his sister, Ruth Phillips; he is survived by his wife of 14 years, Nikona Thomas; children, William Snyder, Carla (John) Kleinbeck and Neal (Megan) Snyder; step-children, Martin (Michelle) Weiss, Mila (Monte Montgomery) Weiss, Jennifer (Jeffrey) Kasper and Laurella (Thomas) Woodcock; grandchildren Alisa and Samantha Snyder, Tristen Kasper, Iris Woodcock, Galen and Imogene Weiss and Joseph Montgomery; sister, Monica Isenhart; 2 nieces and 1 nephew. Celebration of Life will be held 4-8pm Saturday at Columbia Woods Apartments Community Clubhouse, 3343 Columbia Woods Dr. Norton, Ohio 44203. Family requests, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bill's name to the American Cancer Society or Victory Lodge #649.
