William Poling

William L. Poling, 75, passed away peacefully Thursday August 21, 2014 surrounded by his family, following a brief battle with cancer. He was born in Caldwell, Ohio. Bill retired from Firestone Tire and Rubber Co. with 43 years service. He was very involved with Copley Youth Athletic Association, an avid golfer playing in the Copley Tuesday Night golf league. Bill will be greatly missed by friends and family who knew him as Mr. Fix-it. Bill is survived by his wife of 53 years, Pat; children Denise (Richard) Boss, Todd (Laura) Poling, Dale (Kim) Poling; grandchildren Kyle and Tyler Lewis, Sarah, Brandon, John Poling and Ryan Poling; sister Alvaretta Jones; and many relatives and friends. The family will receive friends Sunday August 24, 2-5pm at the Hummel Funeral Home, 3475 Copley Rd., Copley where funeral services will be held Monday at 11:00 am. Interment Copley Cemetery.
