William Palmer

Bill Palmer 90 passed away December 9 2005. Bill was a manufacturer's representative and co-owner of Palmer Furniture Company. He belonged to many civic organizations and was proud to serve on the Boards of Cedar Development Veterans Service Soldiers and Sailors Relief Commission West Akron Kiwanis and the Holy Name Society. A Major in the Army during WWII Bill was also a life-long member of St. Vincent Parish and a graduate of the University of Akron. Bill was preceded in death by his wife Ellen Jane and grandson Joey. Survived by children Joe (Maryann) Palmer Tim (Mary Jo) Palmer all of West Lafayette IN John (Patty) Palmer Mindy (John) Fulvimar all of Akron and Bill (Nancy) Palmer of Indianapolis IN; 10 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren and sister Louise Earley of Atlanta GA. Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday December 13 2005 9:30 AM at St. Vincent Church 164 W. Market Street. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends may call at Hummel Funeral Home 500 East Exchange Street on Monday from 3-6 PM. Memorials may be made to St. Vincent Church.
