It is with deep sadness we announce the death of our brother and uncle, William (Bill) J. Klodt, 67, on January 6, 2025. He was a lifetime resident of Suffield, Ohio, born to Jack and Roberta (née Hamilton) Klodt on March 30, 1957. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Fred J. Klodt.
Life without Bill will never be the same for our family. Nothing will make up for the loss of his love for all of us. As siblings, our memories of growing up with him will be shared with our children and grandchildren so all the soft, sweet things he left behind remain not only in their homes but in their head and heart as well. We, his siblings, Candace (Wally, deceased) Hanson, Jack (Debbie) Klodt, and Tamara Klodt will joyfully keep his memory alive with our stories.
Bill loved his nieces and nephews as his own children. How proud he would be to know there is something of him in what they do, a small reminder of him as they touch what he touched in their lives. He was more than an uncle; he was dear friend to Mega (Mark) Rankin, Joshua Hubbard, Jarrod (Lindsay) Klodt, Fred (Kristi) Klodt, and Kelly Klodt.
To his great nieces and nephews, who rounded out his circle of family, he was truly "great" Uncle Bill, a great man and a great uncle. To Great Uncle Bill, all we can do is emulate you and love the world as you did. We are your family; Carson Rankin, Madden Rankin, Sam Klodt, Lyla Klodt, James Klodt, Ava Klodt, William Klodt and Logan Klodt.
Simcox Grinding and Steel had the pleasure of Bill's employment for 45 years. He considered the people at Simcox some of his closest friends. Bill happily persevered at his duties taking pride in his part for the success of Simcox.
Calling hours will be held Saturday, February 1, 2025 from 12:00-1:00pm, with funeral service following at 1:00pm at Hummel Funeral Home, 3475 Copley Rd., Copley.
If you would like to do something in Bill's honor please feel free to carry on his habit of making a difference in the life of someone less fortunate. It was one of the things he most loved to do.
Nothing on earth can make up for the loss of one who loved you.
