William (Bill) Edward Jacob, a beloved husband, father, and friend, died peacefully on December 6th. Born to John and Mary Jacob, Bill's journey began in Copley, Ohio, where he grew up and graduated from Copley High School in 1961.
Bill served in the Navy and later dedicated 37 years of his life to Goodyear, leaving an indelible mark on both his country and the workplace. His commitment and hard work reflected his strong character.
Bill is survived by his devoted wife of 53 years Susan, sons Steve (Becki) and Paul (Leah), and four grandchildren: Ryan (19), Lauren (17), Ella (13), and Ian (10). His love extended to his brother Robert (Bob) and sister Janet Smiraldo, creating a tightly-knit family. Bill leaves behind a legacy of warmth and connection, cherished by numerous extended friends and family members.
Known for his generosity, Bill had a heart that knew no bounds. Whether volunteering as a coach, cheering for Cleveland and OSU sports, or sharing a meal with loved ones, his kindness touched the lives of many.
In celebrating Bill's life, we remember a man who exemplified selflessness, love, and a genuine joy for helping others. His spirit will live on in the memories of those who were fortunate enough to know him.
The family invites friends and well-wishers to join in honoring Bill's life from 4-7pm on Monday, December 11th at Galaxy Restaurant in Wadsworth.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St Jude's Research Hospital in memory of Bills remarkable life that touched so many.
