William Davis

William Davis 84 of Stow passed away Wednesday May 8 2013. Bill was born in Akron on March 20 1929 to the late Clarence and Mary Davis. He served in the U.S. Army and fought in the Korean War. Bill was a lifelong member of the American Legion Post #281. He retired from Ohio Edison. Bill is preceded in death by his wife Janet son Kenneth daughter Roberta his parents brother Robert and sister Betty. He leaves behind his daughter Sherrie (Rick) Linke; grandchildren Lynette (Randy) Haught Rick (Amber) Linke Todd (Maria) Linke Ken Davis Jeff Davis Meghan Pfeiffer and Chris Taylor; great grandchildren Liccia and Sabrina Haught Ashley and Austin Linke Ava and Eleanor Linke Joey Davis and great great grandchild Brantley Haught who is due in August! Bill is also survived by his brother Paul. Per Bill's request cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held on Monday May 13 2013 from 4-8 PM at the Hummel Funeral Home 500 E. Exchange St. Akron.
