William Cook

William Donald Cook 'Don' as he liked to be called passed away peacefully July 8 2010 at Akron City Hospital with family by his side. Don was born April 26 1925 at Akron City Hospital the son of Henry A. and Lillian Drame Cook. He grew up on North Hill in Akron and lived most of his life in Cuyahoga Falls Ohio. He was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings Richard A. Cook Eleanor Cook Carracher and Robert H. Cook. He leaves behind his loving wife of 55 years Jane Homemier Cook two sons Bill Cook (of Canton) and Marc Cook (of Cuyahoga Falls) daughter-in-law Terry Cook two granchildren Erica Cook and Joseph Cook (both of Cleveland) sister-in-law Bea Cook (of Shaker Heights) and many nieces and nephews. Don worked for Fred J. Crisp for over 25 years beginning as a salesman working his way up to Vice President of Sales and part owner. He was a World War II Veteran serving in the Army as Master Sergeant in the Hawaiian islands. He was a member of Saint Joseph Catholic Church for over 55 years. He was always lending a hand to all and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He was beloved by his family and friends and will be greatly missed. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday July 12 2010 10 AM at St. Joseph Church of Cuyahoga Falls 1761 Second Street Cuyahoga Falls 44221. Interment in Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends may call at the Hummel Funeral Home 500 East Exchange Street Akron on Sunday July 11 2010 from 3-6 PM.
