William "Paul" Banfield

Paul Banfield, age 71, passed away peacefully at home with his wife, Denise by his side. He was born April 25, 1951 in Chesterland, Ohio, where he grew up, to William and the late Ada Banfield. Paul is survived by his loving wife Denise, sons Jason (Ashley) Kistler, Jeremy (Colleen Hurley), step-children Tyler and Hannah Gibson, grandson Luke Kistler, granddaughter Holly Jackson, Mother and Father-in-law Ronald and Diane Hummel, sister-in-law Stephanie Hummel, his brothers, David (Suanne) Banfield, and Tom (Kathy) Banfield along with numerous nieces and nephews who he loved very much.

Paul retired from Automated Packaging Systems after 40 years. He started in the Ink Room and worked his way up to Safety/Environmental/Human Resources Manager.

Paul had such a passion for life, his family, his friends and his Brother Pigs. He would try anything once and he lived each day to the fullest. Paul loved to travel, making many trips to visit family in North Carolina and Tennessee and he treasured his trips with his group of friends to the Caribbean. He enjoyed antiquing, the History Channel and all things Civil War and World War 2. Paul spent his adult life collecting memorabilia of his ancestors and was able to complete a documented history of his family history.

Paul was strong, a warrior. He survived cancer 3 times before the fourth time finally claimed him. Paul re-committed himself to the Lord and he is now free from suffering, rejoicing in Heaven with his mom and precious loved ones who preceded him in death.
