Wendell A McCrady 93, died May 13, 2016, with his family by his side in Columbus, Ohio. Wendell was born in Ripley, West Virginia on July 25th 1922 then lived most of his life in Copley Ohio After serving his country in World War II. He then became a Supervisor at Goodyear where he retired in 1980 after 30 years of service. He was preceded in death by his wife Mary after 55 years of marriage. Wendell loved being around his family boating and camping at his lake house. He volunteered after retirement serving the VA and his community for many years. He liked golf but loved flying to Put N Bay with pilot Steve where he was very popular. A special thanks to Stephen Johnson. Also a special thank you to the kind, loving Claremont staff who touched our lives forever. He leaves Sisters Kathleen, Eileen, and brother Welton, Children, Wendell JR, Tim (Tina), Bob, Chip (Vicki), Wendy (Steve), Grandchildren, Chris, Mandy, Katie, Timmy, Nicole, Melissa, Kevin, Kayla, Jordan, Tyler, Caitlin. Great grandchildren, Trenton, Kaydence, Nate, Meyer, Colton, Maddison, Greyson & Charlie. Even in death we know dad will be working with the Angels to find a cure for his beloved Great Grandson Charlie. Family will receive friends Wednesday May 18th from 4pm to 7pm at the Hummel Funeral Home 3475 Copley Rd. Copley, Ohio. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Guardian Angels church on Thursday 10:00 am. with burial at Copley Cemetery. > > >
