Virginia Siegferth

Virginia Nist Siegferth 93 died in her home in McMinnville TN on June 9. She was born June 4 1918 in Akron OH to Ralph and Ruth Nist. She was one of nine children. Virginia married William Siegferth and had four children. They enjoyed family trips to Canada for fishing and boating. She was a seamstress for Polsky's Department Store and a full-time mother. Her hobbies included family gardening sewing cooking and reading. She was a member of St. Catherine's Catholic Church in McMinnville. Virginia is survived by one daughter and son-in-law Judi and Ron DePiero of McMinnville; two sons and daughters-in-law John and Betty Siegferth of Randolph OH and David and Dee Siegferth of Doylestown Oh; 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; two sisters Joan Nist Zwisler of Akron OH and Peg Nist Dyer of South Carolina; brother Ed Nist of Apache Junction AZ; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband William; her parents daughter Mary Elizabeth Siegferth House; granddaughter Heather Siegferth; two sisters Rosemary Nist Westly and Betty Nist McGraw; three brothers William Thomas and Joe Nist; and son-in-law Bill House. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday June 23 5:00 PM at Hummel Funeral Home 500 E. Exchange ST Akron. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-5 PM prior to the service.
