Viola Bahm

Vi Bahm, age 94 passed away October 23, 2022. She was born October 19, 1928 to Max and Selma Bahm (Newbauer). She lived all her life in Akron, residing in the family home until she moved to Rockynol Retirement Community in 2013. Vi graduated from Buchtel High School class of 1946 where she was a member of the National Honor Society. She went on to be a bookkeeper for 45 years, before retiring from Western Reserve Girl Scout Council in 1991 where she worked for 27 years. Vi was born into Grace Lutheran Church and later became a member of Fairlawn Lutheran where she had been active in the Braille Ministry and also "The Brownbaggers" packing lunches for the needy.

Vi was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Alice Oliver and Edith Sandman and brother Earl Bahm. She is survived by a nephew, her church family and many friends.

A service of rejoicing will be held on Thursday, October 27 at 11:00am at Fairlawn Lutheran Church, 3415 W. Market St. Fairlawn, Paster Jim Gau officiating. Friends may call at the church one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Fairlawn Lutheran School. Interment will be at Glendale Cemetery.
