Timothy Flossie

Mr. Timothy Daniel Flossie, age 73, passed away on July 18, 2022, at his home, surrounded by his loving family. Timothy was born in Akron, Ohio to the late Daniel "Babe" and Mary Flossie. Tim married the love of his life, former Mary Jean "Jeannie" Smith on December 2, 1972, and she survives.

Timothy is also survived by his children, Jill (Albert) Ammerman and Joe Flossie; grandchildren, Hillarie, Olivia, Jacob, Albert V, Ashley, Allison; great grandchildren, Aubreigh & Emma; brothers, Ben (Nancy) Flossie, Bruce (Becky) Flossie; sisters, Judy (Chris) Cheatwood, Mary (Freeland) Oliverio; three nieces/great-nieces and thirteen nephews/great-nephews all of whom were close and loved.

Tim was an avid reader, a lover of history, playing golf, watching movies and enjoying cigars. Tim truly enjoyed spending time and sharing his love of food with his many friends and family. He loved swimming and playing alligator with his grandchildren and nieces and nephews at the pool. Tim was the life of every party, had a wicked sense of humor and a passion for football. It wasn't just "the game," it was his love of the challenge in getting everyone to do the same thing through teamwork and comradery-he truly enjoyed the strategic competition and man did he love the pressure! He was a teacher, a coach, a mentor, a champion in his own right and a champion for everyone.

A Memorial Service and a Celebration of Life gathering (in lieu of calling hours) will be held on Thursday, July 28, 2022 at Guys Party Center, 500 E. Waterloo Road, Akron, Ohio 44319. The Memorial Service will begin at 4:00pm, the Celebration of Life will begin at 5:00pm with a Reminiscence Program at 6:00pm and the celebration will continue until 8:00pm.
