Thomas Stinson

Thomas O. Stinson, age 63, of Copley, went Home to be with the Lord on April 8, 2014. He was born on March 8, 1951 in Akron to the late Oral and Margie Stinson. Tom was a 1969 graduate of Copley High School and worked at Howden North America (formerly TLT Babcock) for 37 years. He was an avid hiker and loved to travel. Tom was a big fan of Ohio State football and never missed a Friday night football game at Copley High School. A faithful member of The Chapel, he especially enjoyed participating in the choir. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-mother, Ernestine Stinson; Tom was devoted to his family and is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Deborah; daughters, Sara (Jason) O'Daniel and Laura (John Sheppard) Stinson; grandson, Parker Thomas Stinson; brother, Edward (Sean Ulmer) Stinson; his loyal furry companion, Ben and many nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be 4-8 p.m. Friday at Hummel Funeral Home, 3475 Copley Rd. Copley, Ohio 44321. Memorial service will be 2:30 p.m. Saturday at The Chapel, 135 Fir Hill Akron, Ohio 44304.
