Thomas Butcher

Thomas Butcher born June 6 1932 in Defiance Ohio passed away September 3 2013 at the age of 81. After serving in the US Air Force he earned a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Sophia University in Tokyo Japan. He worked as an English teacher and translator in Tokyo for over thirty years. During his time there he played bridge with the Japan Contract Bridge League for many years competing in international events. He is preceded in death by his parents Clarence and Jane Butcher; and his brother Robert Butcher. He will be greatly missed by his wife Chikako Butcher; his brother Bruce Butcher; his children Nancy Ohlin (Jens) Douglas Butcher (Chigusa) and Fredrick Butcher (Lauren); and his six grandchildren Nina Anna Alice and Tiget Butcher Christopher Reynolds and Clara Ohlin.
