Thelma Huhn

Thelma R. Huhn 84 of Akron passed away June 25 2012 at Hospice in Fairlawn. Thelma a graduate of Garfield High School worked at SOHIO and retired from the former Ohio Bell. Thelma who spent her early years in Pleasants County W.Va. was a member of Springfield Baptist Church the Disabled American Veterans' Stadelman Chapter 35 Auxiliary Green AARP Firestone Seniors Ohio Bell Pioneers and Summit County Chapter of the Ohio Genealogical Society. Preceded in death by her husband Gerald C. Huhn Sr.; parents George and Laura (nee Knappenberger) Colvin; and sister Beulah Smith. She is survived by sister Beverly Jane Stowe of Port Hueneme CA; three sons and one daughter-in-law Gerald and Donna Huhn of Uniontown; Kenneth Huhn of Bangor Maine; Kevin Huhn of Denver/LA; five grandchildren Michele (Jaramie) Louderback John and Jeff Huhn and Dana and Scott Harris; four great-grandchildren Christopher Michael Joshua and Lauren; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral Service will take place at 10:00 AM on Monday July 2 2012 at Hummel Funeral Home 500 E. Exchange St Akron. Interment in Crown Hill Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday July 1 from 2-6 PM.
