VIEW VIDEO TRIBUTE Thelma F. Collins 100 years and 5 months old known as Manny to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren died peacefully at the Hospice Care Center with her son Ed at her side on Sunday March 26 2006. She was born on Sunday October 29 1905 in Detroit Michigan. Thelma was preceded in death by her husband J. Milton Collins and great-granddaughter Frances Goldsmith. She is survived by sons J. Milton Collins Jr. Edwin P. Collins Bruce W. Collins; daughter-in-law Bess; and Fredrick Collins; daughter-in-law Anita; grandchildren Mike (Ginny) Mark (Judy) Matt (Candy) Eddie (Allison) Linda (Rick) Royer Greg (Denise) Bruce (Sue) Kathy (Bill) Goldsmith Maureen (Gene) Long Gail (Mark) Griffin Sean Brian Lisa Deckert Emory (Karin); and twenty-three great-grandchildren. Thelma was a life-long member of the Episcopal Church including St. Thomas in Detroit and St. Peter's in Akron. She sang in her church choirs Akron Symphony Choir King's Women Choir and Cora Covey Chorus. The family expresses gratitude to her special nurse Stephanie and to the nurses and staff at Hospice of Visiting Nurse. There will be no calling hours. Cremation has taken place. The Service of Burial will be held on Saturday April 8 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Philip's Episcopal Church 1130 Mercer Avenue Akron Ohio with The Rev. David Hefling officiating. Interment of cremains in Greenlawn Cemetery. Gifts may be made in memory of Thelma to CureSearch (National Childhood Cancer Foundation) P.O.
