Terrance Bonsteel

Terry Bonsteel, age 73, returned to eternal life on January 27, 2016. He bids ' so long but not goodbye' to his son, Dr. Brian Bonsteel of Pittsburgh, his incredible sister, Cheryl Richards of Akron, his favorite uncle, Joe Lenze of Norton, and scores of loving cousins, nieces and nephews. Terry is preceded in his passing by his beautiful wife Sandra (Sizemore) Bonsteel, and parents Stanley and Josephine Bonsteel. He served in the U.S. Navy, worked as an electrical engineer, and retired from Dairy Mart as a corporate director. He walked this earth with humility and a mission of service. If you knew him in the 70's and 80's, he probably repaired your TV. From the 90's onward, he likely fixed your computer. He had a love for dogs throughout his life and enjoyed golf, woodworking, painting and even wrote poetry. Always looking out for the safety of others, he would bless everyone with final instructions before leaving his house saying 'Use your seatbelt, lock your doors and don't speed.' In lieu of flowers, Terry wished that contributions be made St. Jude's Children's hospital, the ASPCA or the Humane Society of the United States. Friends and family will be received at Hummel Funeral Home, 3475 Copley Rd. in Copley on Monday February 1, 10:00 am to 12:00 pm with a memorial service at 12:00 pm. Interment at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
