Suzanne Shilliff

Suzanne Margaret Shilliff, "Susie", 90 passed Thursday, June 6, 2024. She was born on January 31, 1934, in State College, Pennsylvania to Margaret Hoenstine (Hoy), and Carl R. Hoenstine. Suzanne was preceded in death by her brother, Robert and sister, Nancy. Suzanne is survived by her loving husband, Karl, of 70 years; children Karl N. Shilliff, Gail N. Foreman and Karen S. Scherler; and seventeen grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.

Suzanne went to State College High School and attended Penn State University where she met Karl and became College sweethearts. They were married on September 1953 and enjoyed over 70 wonderful years surrounded by a caring and loving family.

Suzanne was a gifted artistic craft person and loved participating in local craft shows. She was also active in University of Akron's Women's Faculty Group, gardening group, and gourmet cooking group, and especially with her closest friends in the knit, chat and chew group.

A private service will be arranged at a later date.
