Suzanne Rosing

Suzanne C. Rosing age 91 passed away October 21 2012 at home. She was born February 16 1921 in Lakewood Ohio to the late William and Gertrude (LeBel) Congalton. She lived in the Cleveland area all her life until 2003 when she moved to Green with her daughter Marjorie. She was preceded in death in 1994 by her beloved husband Raymond whom she married October 26 1946. She is survived by her sons Rev. Paul J. James R. (Carole) John R. (Mimi) Robert J. (Marcia); daughters Marjorie S. Rosing Mary Anne (Chris) DeCenzo; grandchildren Matthew (Eva) DeCenzo Theresa (DeCenzo) (Kevin) Reash Brian (Patricia) DeCenzo Julieane (Rosing) (Mike) Cook Joseph Rosing Lauren Rosing Emily (DeCenzo) (Andy) Stuckenschneider James Rosing Jessica Rosing and Nicholas Rosing; great-grandchildren Ellie Jacob and Isaac Reash and Dominic DeCenzo; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her siblings William Congalton Marjorie Wiese Jane Congalton and Jack Congalton. Suzanne and Raymond were founding members of St. Mark Parish in Cleveland where Suzanne served as the parish bookkeeper for many years. When she moved to Green she became a member both of Nativity of Our Lord Parish in Springfield Township and of Holy Family Parish in Stow. Our mother lived a remarkable and full life. She lived with and managed the obstacles of the neuro-muscular disease of Myasthenia Gravis since her diagnosis at age 30. Her cheerful spirit and selfless attitude have given our family rich memories to cherish. Mom's greatest gift to us was her deep devotion to her Catholic faith. Her greatest joys were her family and faith. We thank all those who helped us care for Mom during her final months of life especially Sister Mary Tina Anna and Ed. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Family Catholic Church 3179 Kent Rd. (Rt. 59) on Friday October 26 at 11 a.m where the family will receive friends prior to Mass from 10:15 until 10:45 a.m. Family and friends may call on Thursday October 25 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Hummel Funeral Home 500 E. Exchange St. Akron. Private interment in Holy Cross Cemetery Cleveland. Memorial gifts may be made to the Raymond H. and Suzanne C.
