Susan Greathouse

VIEW PHOTO TRIBUTE''Susan E. Greathouse loving wife teacher and friend passed away on Saturday March 21 2009 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Susan was born on June 14 1948 in Akron and taught for 35 years in Cuyahoga Falls Schools. She was teacher of the year twice for that school system and leaves behind a legacy of having helped hundreds of students learn to read and think. She will be deeply missed. Susan is survived by her loving husband Richard Melecki of Cuyahoga Falls by her brothers Charles Greathouse of Mogadore Ohio and Thomas Greathouse of Grapevine Texas by her sister Janet Pearrell of Brunswick Ohio and by many other family members friends colleagues and students. She is preceded in death by her parents Charles and Marie Greathouse. Visiting hours will be Thursday March 26 2009 from 4 to 8 PM at Hummel Funeral Home 3475 Copley Rd COPLEY where family and friends are invited to offer personal remembrances of Susie from 7 to 8 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday at 9:30 AM at St. Hilary Catholic Church 2750 W. Market St. Interment in Holy Cross Cemetery.
