Stella Balog

Stella Balog 91 of Akron passed away after a short illnesss on January 4 2010. She was born on November 10 1918 in Hartford Connecticut. Stella is preceded in death by her husband of 39 yrs Steve Balog; her son Stephen Joseph Balog; and her sister Anne Tisserand. She leaves behind her daughter Julianne Balog (James)Lardas of Orrville; granddaughter Lia Rivette of Chicago; grandson James Alexander (Melissa) Lardas of Myrtle Beach; niece Norma Romano of Cuyahoga Falls; and nephews Robert (Judy) Tisserand of Alaska and David Tisserand of San Francisco. Stella grew up in Akron and attended South High School. She was the manager of the Martin House Apartments in Copley for 43 yrs and retired from Akron General Medical Center in 1982 after 11 yrs and 9 months service as a nurse's aide. Stella loved to golf and played on several leagues at Good Park and was an avid bowler. She loved people and leaves all of us whose lives she touched richer fuller and proud to have known her and to be loved by her. She will always be in our hearts now and forever. Stella's strength of character will never be forgotten. Per Stella's request there will be no funeral services.
