Shirley A. Jacot (Russell) passed away July 20, 2016, surrounded by family. Shirley was born to Judson and Blanche Russell on February 4, 1929, in Stow, Ohio. A graduate of Stow High School and Ohio Wesleyan University. Shirley retired from teaching after many years with Akron Public Schools. She was a member of Akron Women's City Club and Coach House. Shirley enjoyed house boating on the Ohio River aboard Cheers with her husband Russell of 25 years and many travel adventures with her friends to New York City and other exotic locations. She enjoyed Jazz night at Pub Bricco with her children. Shirley had a special way of spreading her kindness and generosity to others. Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Russell; stepson, Donald; daughter-in-law, Sharon; grandson, Jared. She leaves to cherish her memories Becky (Paul) Donaldson, Lisa Mancini, Chris (Patti) Simmons, Holly Frahlich, Todd Simmons. Grandchildren, Jake (Nicole) Donaldson; Aaron (Kate) Donaldson, Robin (Riley) Rossmo; Nicholas (Erin) Mancini, Michael Mancini (Brittany) Christian and Logan Simmons, Stephen (Courtney) Frahlich and Douglas Frahlich, Luke and Carla Simmons. Great-grandchildren Anais, Rosalie, and a precious one on the way. Sister, Miriam (Robert) Conley; nephews and their families and many family and friends. Shirley's family is grateful for the loving support and kindness of Sunrise Assisted Living and Harbor Light Hospice.
