Shelly Lynn Heinbuch, age 46, passed away at the Justin T. Rogers Hospice center in Copley on March 22, 2018 following a heroic battle with cancer. She was born March 26, 1971 in Cleveland. Survived by husband Eric, young children Hayden (10), Hyleigh (8), adult children Ashley Cooper Zlokovich (Nick) of Florida, Alicia Cooper Thomas (David), sisters Veronica Darby-Nekvinda of Georgia and Janet May. Grandchildren Sierra, Allen, Elliot, Emmalyn and one to come. Aunt to Patrick, Michael, Jessica, Matthew, and Quentin. Preceded in death by parents Richard and Arlise Surber of Cleveland. Shelly was a free spirited strong willed woman who took life to the fullest regardless of the consequences. She enjoyed her family and her numerous friends and adopted family with her unique outlook and caring. Her smile and compassion would light up a room wherever she would go and her sarcastic humor was contagious. Crafting with polymer clay, wreath making, scrapbooking, and ceramic painting made for great memories at holidays, as did her prowess at baking special treats for all. Sewing became a passion for her, and she had planned on opening a handmade purse factory for uniquely designed items. Shelly graduated from North Central State College with a certification in Phlebotomy which she used to meet and care for a lot of elderly patients during her career. She quit to raise her young children to address their needs with her full attention. She was a wonderful wife, mother, friend, and advocate for all who knew her and would give anything to help anyone in need. The family would like to thank especially the members of her oncology team, including the 5400 unit at AGMC for their wonderful care during her illness. She never gave up the battle she was facing and should be an inspiration to all. Everyone who knew her is very proud to have been part of her life and those who did not yet meet her would be inspired by her spirit and drive. She will be missed by all, and we will all take comfort in knowing that she is now pain free living in the house of the Lord. Private services will be held with family and friends at a later date. Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice, or to St Jude's or the American Lung Association, or Stewart's Caring Place if a suggestion is needed. We would like to thank everyone who has supported her throughout her journey and remind everyone to take a moment to hug their children and let those close to you know that you love them, as time on this earth is never guaranteed. Shelly's legacy will continue through the lives of the people she has touched, and she will be sorely missed. Please feel free to post comments or memories on this page, as she would enjoy reading them.
