Shauna Corder-Duke

Our Lovely Lady, Shauna Duke, entered into heaven on September 10, 2021. She was greeted there by her first husband Michael Culp and her father Gary Corder. Her memory will be cherished by her husband Andrew Duke, her son Joseph Duke, her mother Wanda Corder, her brother Gary Corder, her best friend Terri Hooper, and her beloved dog Susie.

Shauna's laughter filled a room and her bawdy nature gave others joy. She had a refined sense of style, always dressing to the nines and had a flair for interior decorating with an upscale country charm. She loved fine dining and was a wonderful cook.

Shauna loved the beach and went on many exotic vacations with her friends. Later in life she traveled with her husband and son to Port Huron, Michigan; Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; and Clearwater, Florida. We always thought it funny that a fair redhead would find so much fun in the sun.

Shauna had a long and fulfilling career in the criminal justice system. She was a long serving bailiff in both Akron Municipal Court and Summit Court of Common Pleas. Through her professional life she made many lifelong friends.

Calling hours will be held from 4pm to 7pm on Wednesday, September 15 at Hummel Funeral Home, 500 East Exchange St., Akron, Ohio. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In remembrance of Shauna, share a laugh and give each other a hug.
