Scott Reichel

Scott David Reichel, age 46, died on Oct. 9, 2014, at his home in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. He was born in 1968 in Evanston, IL and attended Western Reserve Academy (OH), Berkshire Academy (MA), and Wooster College (OH). Later he lived in Monterey, CA for many years before moving to Richmond, VA to be near family. Among Scott's passions were music and soccer, both as an athlete and as a coach for the YMCA and Richmond Strikers. Numerous friends remember Scott as kind, generous and incredibly fun, with a contagious laugh, always ready for the next adventure. He is survived by his mother, Joyce Reichel; uncle, Dr. David Small of Cary, NC; sister and brother-in-law, Tammi and Martin Reichel; and nephews and nieces Nathan, Noah, Rebecca and Hannah Reichel, all of Richmond, VA. Friends and family are gathering in Scott's honor at 4 pm on Saturday, Nov. 1 at Kepner's Family Tavern in Hudson, OH. Memorial donations may be made to Community Support Services of Akron or any local chapter of NAMI.
