Ruth McCort

Ruth M. McCort, age 78, passed away on November 9, 2021. She was born in Akron, Ohio on October 17, 1943, to the late Clement L. and Frances C. (Schneider) McCort.

Ruth was also preceded in death by her brothers, James E., Raymond A., and Thomas L. McCort

Ruth is survived by her brother, Paul D. (Judith) McCort and many nieces, nephews, and great friends.

Ruth was a graduate of Coventry High School, attended Hammel Business College; and 2 years at Kent State University Stark Campus. She became a bookkeeper at Famous Supply Company of Akron, where she spent 40 years. Ruth was a member of Nativity of the Lord Jesus Catholic Church in Akron.

Visitation for family and friends will be Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at Nativity of the Lord Jesus Catholic Church, 2425 Myersville Rd, Akron, from 10 to 11 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 a.m. on November 17, 2021, at the church.

Burial of cremains will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, 100 E. Waterloo Road, Akron. A luncheon at the church will follow for friends and relatives to visit.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Nativity of the Lord Jesus Catholic Church, 2425 Myersville Rd, Akron, Ohio 44312.
