Ruth Beck

R. Kathleen (Nice) Beck, 67, of Richfield, OH, died at home on February 13, 2014, after a long and hard-fought illness. She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Tim Beck (Richfield, OH), brother Minor Nice (Newark, OH) and niece, Amy Riggs (Dublin, OH). Kathy grew up in Copley, Ohio. After graduation from Adrian College (MI), Kathy married and moved to Heidelberg, Germany, where her husband was completing military service. Upon return, she began a 31-year career as a psychiatric social worker. In addition, Kathy was a lifelong equestrian and, after retirement, owned and operated an equestrian specialty business. Kathy loved animals, the outdoors, and traveling. Her limitless compassion, extraordinary courage, and quiet strength was an inspiration to all who knew her. Although her energy has transcended, her memory and love will remain in our hearts forever. No service or visitation will be held.
