Russell Parker

Russell Allen Parker 'Rusty' passed peacefully from this life Sunday, August 5, 2018, and now lives in the mansion prepared for him by his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Russ was born in Akron, Ohio, on August 4, 196l, and lived most of his life in Copley, Ohio, graduating from Copley High School in 1979, where he enjoyed all sports, especially wrestling. He was extremely loving, with a heart of gold and never met a stranger. He loved kids, dogs, mountains and music and his absence has left an irreparable hole in our hearts. He followed in his father's footsteps with an extreme passion and pride for building and maintaining several family businesses beginning with J. Parker & Sons. Russ was preceded in death by his nephew Joshua James Parker. Russ is survived by his parents Jim and Norma Parker, his five children, Jessica, Chelsea, Birdie, Taylor and Jimmy (mother Monica), his soulmate and best friend Julie Bukowski, his three brothers, Scott, Mike and Tim and numerous family members whom he loved and was loved in return. He was a very proud 'Pap-Pap' to Russell James. There will be a private service for family and close friends at 1:30pm on Saturday, August 11, 2018, at the Parker Barn 4060 Copley Road, Copley (Akron) Ohio, and, in keeping with his wishes there will be a celebration in his honor followed shortly thereafter from 3:00 to 6:00. In lieu of flowers please bring cards with your favorite memory of Russ, including pictures if possible or send them to 4060 Copley Road, Copley, Ohio, 44321.
