Rudolph Piekarski

July 22, 1941 — May 3, 2011

Rudolph 'Rudy Pie' Piekarski 69 has moved on to the Broadcast Booth in the Sky May 3 2011. Rudy was a successful business owner (trophies) by day and an iconic radio announcer (The Voice of Akron) by night. He led a full life helping raise two children while coaching some of the Akron area's best baseball teams and founding the Greater Akron Baseball Hall of Fame. Rudy was born in Akron OH to Rudolph and Mary Piekarski. He was preceded in death by his parents. Surviving family includes brothers Bob and Ron; daughter Kristen (Steve Linton); son Rudy Jr. (Kim) and grandchildren Alexa Dane and Jace.
