Rosemarie Steurer

Rosemarie Steurer (Meyers), born May 28, 1929 passed away Thursday, October 5, 2017 at the age of 88. Born in Akron. She was a graduate of St. Mary's High School, class of '47. She was a member of Theta Phi Alpha Sorority of The University of Akron. She was a member of St. Matthews Catholic Church. Rosemarie was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years Edward J, parents Anthony and Rosalia Meyers, and brother Jerry. She is survived by children Robert, Marjorie (Sam) Philpot, James (Betty), Charles (Sylvia), Nancy (John) Ventrone, Michele, Susan (Mike) Foster, Eileen (Ray) Baker. Sister Agnes (Jerry) Stitz. Eleven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. The family would like to thank the staff at Pebble Creek Care Center. The staff at Summa Hospital and Summa Palliative Care and Hospice Services. The family will receive friends Monday, October 9, 2017 from 4-7 p.m. at Hummel Funeral Home, 500 E. Exchange St. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, at NOON at St. Matthew Catholic Church, 2603 Benton Ave. Interment in Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery at a later date.
