Rose Squires

Rose Elinor Squires 94 went to be with the Lord on January 20 2011. She was born on February 22 1916 to the late Elizabeth and Cleveland Schumacher. She was preceded in death by George her husband of 52 years and her brothers Richard Frank and Myron Schumacher and sisters Phyllis Schumacher and Mary Greenman. Rose was a long time member of the Billow Chapter of The Order Of the Eastern Star and The White Shrine Of Jerusalem a past 20-year member of the Rachel Circle at the Church of the Redeemer and used to attend the Montrose Zion United Methodist Church a leader for eight years for The Tops Club in a bowling league for several years a past member of the Craftsmen's Boat Club and a former member of Friendly Folks Senior Group. She is survived by her son George W.C. Squires of Copley her daughters Nancy (David) Treen of Nipomo California and Jill Parsons of Reynoldsburg Ohio; six grandchildren- Justin Squires Mark (Lisa) Treen Michael (Mary) Treen Karen (Lou) Maranto Angie (Pat) Thompson Tammy (Robb) Beard; and twelve great-grandchildren-Andrew Alex and Kate Lynn Treen Brent and Cole Maranto Lauren and Ashley Treen Zachary Van Horn Andrew and Kyle Thompson and Shannon and Connor Beard. She will be fondly remembered for the wonderful and generous woman that she was and for the humble way that she led her life. Services will be held at Hummel Funeral Home 3475 Copley Rd. on Thursday January 27 with calling hours from 12-3PM. The funeral and committal service will take place immediately following calling hours. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Elinor's name to Copley Fire & Rescue Squad 1540 S. Cleveland-Massillon Road Copley OH 44321.
