Rose M. Horinger 88 began her next journey on July 24 2012 where the love of her life husband Ed was waiting for her. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her parents William and Mary Boxler four brothers and two sisters. Born on August 21 1923 Rose was a lifetime resident of the Akron area. She graduated from East High School and for a period of time worked for Firestone until 1957. Rose has been a member of Annunciation (Visitation of Mary) since birth. For over 25 years Rose worked at the neighborhood Linda Theater as a ticket seller and nurturer of many young candy sellers while at the same time maintaining her home and rearing her children. Rose was one of the truly wonderful women on this earth. She had a huge and forgiving heart and her door was always open to friends and family. Rose is survived by her son Mike grandson Jade and great-grandson Dennis all of the residence as well as her children Ed Kathy (Mike) Foote John (Gina) Anne (Jeff) Goldsberry Joe (Juli) Alice (Steve) Norton Janice (Bruce) Rathmell and Jennifer (Dan) Gross sister; Dorothy McNeil brothers; Bob Boxler and Merle Boxler along with numerous nieces and nephews. Rose was the loving and caring grandmother to 19 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren who were always welcomed with Oreos (one for each hand!) The family would like to express their appreciation to the nurses and caregivers of Hospice and Traditions at Bath Road for their compassion and care for their mother. A funeral Mass will be held Saturday July 28 2012 at 11am at the Visitation of Mary (formerly Annunciation Church). The family will receive friends FRIDAY from 4pm-8pm at the HUMMEL FUNERAL HOME 3475 COPLEY RD. COPLEY. Please feel free to wear your favorite shade of pink in memory of our beautiful mother as pink is her favorite color. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Hattie Larlam Foundation or the Disabled Veterans. LIVE LAUGH LOVE!!!
