Roger Gilbert

Roger Scott Gilbert, 67 passed away peacefully at home on March 27, 2019. He was born on June 24, 1951. He was a lifetime resident of Springfield Township. He was preceded in death by his parents Roger and Louise Gilbert. Brothers, Kirbie and Michael Burns and sister, Linda Terry. He is survived by his wife Marilyn Gilbert of 46 years: daughters Misti and Angie Gilbert, son Kurt Gilbert. Brother Harry Burns, sisters Penny (Dan) Kimble, Sherrie Gilbert, Beth (Richard) Tigelman. He was a loving 'Papa' to seven grandchildren: Nicole, Dana, Brandon, Abigail, Colton, Emily, Shannon. He also leaves four great grandchildren. He also leaves special sister- in- laws, Effie Burns, Rosemary (Bruce) Hodor, Betz Ferguson, Shirley (Greg) Kruez. Roger was a very hard worker. He worked at Maaco for 10 years, Akron Auto Body for 8 years and he did networking for various companies in Cleveland Oh for twenty years. Roger enjoyed painting cars in his garage, on the side. He was always keeping busy. Those who knew Roger knew he could light up a room with his witty sense of humor and smile. He had a sensitive heart and the deepest love and devotion for his wife, family and friends. Roger's celebration of life will be held at a later date. Donations may be made to Stephen A.
