Robert Jorgensen

Robert DuBois Jorgensen, 69, of Kent, passed away July 4, 2015. He was born on December 26, 1945 in Springfield, Illinois. Mr. Jorgensen was preceded in death by his father, he is survived by wife of 41 years Anne Jorgensen; daughter, Laura Anne Jorgensen, of Eugene, Oregon; his mother, Mary Elizabeth 'Betty' Jorgensen; brothers, Richard & Nancy Jorgensen of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas, and David & Kelly Jorgensen, of San Antonio, Texas; sister, Mary Jorgensen, of Bloomington, Illinois. Cremation has taken place. A private family committal service will take place at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. A celebration of life service will be held at Guzzetta Hall at the University of Akron on July 23, 2015 from 2-5 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes for donations to be made to The Robert D. Jorgensen Endowed Fund for Music Majors Enrolled in University of Akron Concert Bands, The University of Akron Foundation, Akron, OH 44325-2603.
