VIEW LIFE TRIBUTERobert Hinman 63 of Copley passed away suddenly February 3 2009. He was born and raised in Copley where he graduated from Copley High School in 1963 and then attended the University of Akron. Bob retired from Woodford Elementry School in Barberton after 32 years. He incorporated learning and skills which allowed kids to build picnic tables as well as other small individual projects hatched chicks and yes he remained the 'Secret Admirer' sender of valentines. His achievements in education include receiving the first Teacher Of The Year Award and a Martha Holden Jennings Scholar listing in the Who's Who Among Americas Teachers and a Jaycees Young Educator of the Year Nominee. His summer job for 43 years was in the gatehouse at Loyal Oak Lake Park. After retirement he immersed himself in the family farm keeping up a long tradition of pride and hard work and results seen daily from both the soil and the animal management especially the sheep. 'Bobpa' will be deeply missed by his greatest joys.... his grandchildren. Bob was preceded in death by his parents Martha Irene Weeks and Robert E. Hinman and brother Richard E. Hinman. He is survived by his wife Margaret (Meeks); children Amy (Grant) Grisak and their sons Samuel and John Royal of Great Falls MT; son Bob (Emily) of Vilnius Lithuania and Leigh Ann (Mike) Bauer and their daughters Cassie and Colleen; niece and nephew Sarah and Eric Hinman; sisters-in-law Mary June (Tom) Casto and Melissa (K.C.) Carowick and numerous friends. Funeral Service Saturday February 7 2009 at 10 AM at Guardian Angels Catholic Church 1686 S. Cleveland Massillon Rd. Interment in Copley Township Cemetery.
