Robert Cooley

Robert L. Cooley, age 61, passed away on January 31, 2022. He was born in Akron, OH
to the late Robert C. Cooley and Donna (George) Cooley, who survives.

Robby is also survived by his siblings, Gary Cooley, Gale (Robert) Truthan, and Sandy (Joseph) Benge; nieces and nephews, Gary Jr. and Dexter Cooley, Faith, Heather, Rachel, and Hope Truthan, and Mason Benge; and several great nieces and nephews.

Robby was a graduate of Garfield High School, where he excelled on the basketball court. He enjoyed all sports, and enjoyed riding his bicycle. Robby was a loving and caring person. He truly loved his family and friends, and lending a helping hand. Robby loved the Lord and participated in many mission trips with High Street Christian Church.

A visitation for family and friends will take place Friday, February 4, 2022 from 11 am to 12 pm at the Hummel Funeral Home, 500 E. Exchange Street, Akron. A funeral will begin at 12 Noon on Friday, February 4th at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.

The family requests if you are attending the services to be symptom-free and wear a mask.
