Robert H. Boxler 82 entered into the loving arms of our father January 10 2013. Devoted husband father grandfather and great- grandfather. Bob touched the lives of many people. Born in Akron to William and Mary Boxler he graduated from East High School where his cross country records still hold a place on the Hall of Fame. After serving as a Navy Corpsman in the Korean War he attended the University of Akron where he earned his bachelors degree and met his wife Patty. Bob later earned his master's degree from Kent State University. He became a favorite teacher at Ritzman Elementary School until his retirement. Bob was preceded in death by his loving wife Patty and grandson Matt Casey. He leaves his devoted children Liz (Richard) Jones Robert (Emily) Boxler and Jim (Marci) Boxler; grandchildren Amanda Erin Michael Austin and Colt; great-grandchildren Mia Marley and Jack. He also leaves behind brother Meryl Boxler and sister Dorothy (Tom) McNeil and many nieces and nephews. The family wishes to extend their deepest gratitude to Marci Boxler who took such loving care of our father the last precious moments of our time with him. Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday January 14 2013 at 10 AM at Visitation of Mary Church (formerly Annunciation Church) 87 Broad St. Akron. Interment in Holy Cross Cemetery.
