Robert Bishop

Robert Poole Bishop 86 passed away July 2 2007.    Born in Cleveland Ohio he graduated from Miami University where he was a member of Sigma Nu and Omicron Delta Kappa.  He served in the Army Air Corps in WWII.  He took over the family farm in Peninsula in 1948 and started Heritage Christmas Tree Farm.  He was Clerk-Treasurer of the Village of Peninsula for 28 years and a member of the Planning Commission for many years.   He was preceded in death by sister Kathryn Bishop Schrauf daughter Joan K. Bishop and son Douglas Y. Bishop and is survived by his loving wife of 59 years Jeanette K. Bishop daughter and son-in-law Carol (George) Haramis of Peninsula and son & daughter-in-law David (Donna) Bishop of Bartlesville OK grandson Levi W. Bishop of Bartlesville OK and a large extended family.   A Memorial service will be held Saturday July 7 3:00 p.m. at Christ Church Episcopal 21 Aurora St. Hudson.  In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Valley Fire District P.O. Box 212 Peninsula OH 44264.
