Rita (Tennessen) Cziraki, 91, made her triumphal entry to heaven on Palm Sunday. She died peacefully of natural causes. Born in Racine, WI, Rita moved to Akron in 1946 to set up housekeeping with her husband Frank when he returned from the war. They had three beloved children. Rita found employment at Rempel Toy Co. and Goodyear Aerospace. She also served as Girl Scout and Cub Scout leader and volunteered 25 years in the gift shop at Barberton Hospital. A long-time member of St Paul Catholic Church, Rita was a member of the Ladies Guild and often acted as secretary. Rita was an adventurous, strong and fun-loving woman. She enjoyed fishing with her family, pinochle, and crochet. After she retired, she traveled far and wide with her many friends. She was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, Frank, and their daughter Dianne Reed. She is survived by son Frank (Dayton), daughter Terri Lemon, sister Trude (Bob) Haas of Santa Monica CA, special friend and caregiver Jan Gard, 5 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, doting niece Joan McDonnell, and numerous additional nieces and nephews. The family thanks the Eucharistic ministers at St Paul Parish, Interfaith Caregivers Program, the staff at Summit Adult Day Services and staff at Hospice of Medina County for their loving care. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11am Friday, April 17 at St Paul Catholic Church, 1580 Brown St, followed immediately by a luncheon. Interment will be private.
