Rita Mae Clark was born on February 18 1929 and passed away peacefully on January 17 2004 surrounded by her family. She was a woman of strong faith and determination. She never stopped fighting. Rita was preceded in death by her daughter Christine Marie granddaughter Ashley Korec grandson Joseph Clark and sister Donna Stoltz. She will be forever missed and loved by her devoted husband of 54 years Tom and their children Joanne (Ken) Korec Tom Jr. (Janet) Eddie Clark Patricia (Marty) Conway Dan (Jacqui) and Nancy Clark. Rita was extremely proud of and blessed by her grandchildren Brian Jeffrey and Traci Korec Claudia Clark Mallory Corey and Dylan Conway Danny Jr. Steven Olivia and Veronica Clark. Rita is also survived by her sisters Betty Tomello Joanie (Dave) Brubach and Marci (Sam) Bisesi brothers Bill (Monie) Mickey (Pat) Bernie (Karen) Gmerek and brother-in-law Glenn Stoltz. Rita always enjoyed her East High School Class of 1947 reunion luncheons. She was recently initiated into Theta Phi Alpha sorority along with her daughters. Rita was an active member of St. Martha's Church and a volunteer for M.A.D.D. Summit County. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 3-8 p.m. at Hummel Funeral Home 500 E. Exchange St. Mass of Christian Burial and celebration of Rita's life will be at St. Martha's Church 300 East Tallmadge Ave. Akron on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made in Rita's name to the Christine Clark Memorial Scholarship Fund c/o St. V-M 15 N. Maple St Akron OH 44303 St. Martha's Endowment Fund or M.A.D.D. Summit County P.O. Box 3128 Cuyahoga Falls OH 44223.
