Richard Sankey

Richard Alan Sankey 56 of Copley/Fort Lauderdale passed away Monday September 27 2010. Rich was born on November 14 1953 in Akron to the late Guy and Delores Sankey. He was preceded in death by his parents and nephew Guy Pelton. He is survived by loving wife Diane of 28 years daughter Samantha stepson Erick Andersen granddaughter Brianna sister Gylene (Dave) Pelton and niece Randi. Rich was owner/operator of Sankey's All Pro Barbershop for 16+ years. He was very active with the Copley Athletic Association was an avid golfer and loved all sports. He enjoyed coaching girls' softball for many years. Rich adored his family cherished his friends and loved his community. He was constantly bringing a smile to peoples' faces. Friends may call at the Hummel Funeral Home 3475 Copley Rd 44321 on Tuesday October 5 2010 from 3-8PM. During calling hours friends and family will be invited to share stories and memories starting at 7PM to celebrate his life. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Copley Athletic Association (Contact Copley High School).
