Richard B. 'Dick' Remington, Sr. passed away peacefully on a beautiful morning, November 20, 2017, at the ripe old age of 92. He was born and raised in Akron and graduated from West High School. He served in the U.S. Army in World War II, and completed a degree at Ohio University. He worked many years as an accountant at Remington Products Company, founded by his father. His family is grateful for his impact in this world through his faith, humor, loving commitment to family and friends, love of golf, and the outdoors, especially Akron's Metro Parks. Dick served as a lifetime deacon at The Chapel in University Park. Preceded in death by his brothers, Joseph and William Remington; he is survived by his wife of 67 years, Jane and children, Cynthia (Glen) Peterson and Richard B. Remington, Jr. A private memorial service will take place and he will be buried at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
