Richard Flege

Richard Thomas Flege, age 74, passed away at his home in Green, Ohio on October 3, 2018 after a long and courageous battle with Multiple Myeloma. He was born on November 26, 1943 to the late Clifford and Elizabeth (Barta) Flege. Richard loved hunting, and fishing but one dream he never got to fulfill was to head West and pan for gold, just to say he did it. He worked his entire adult life as a concrete finisher with Cioffi Construction and was a member of the Ohio Plasterers and Cement Masons Local 109. After retiring, he loved to take things apart to scrap, helping his son-in-law, Ron, with his projects, growing a vegetable garden and canning. He is survived by his loving wife of 14 years, Karen; his precious daughter Bernadette (Ron) Carlson; Step-children Rhonda (Jim) Campbell and Will Ebner; grandchildren Ty and Ian Carlson, Colin Ebner, Maddie Campbell; Siblings Judith Partridge, Clifford (Bobbie) Flege, Tom (Julieanne) Flege, Mark Flege, and Mary (Larry) Noel, along with numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his daughter, Julia Flege. Friends may call at Hummel Funeral Home, 500 E. Exchange St. Akron on Sunday, October 7, 2018 from 2-5PM. A funeral Service will be held on Monday at RiverTree Christian Church, 7373 Portage St. NW , Massillon 44646 at 2 PM. Cremation to follow. Memorials may be made to Stephen A.
