Richard Dallinga

Richard C. Dallinga 91 of Copley passed away December 11 2012 with his family by his side. He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years Rae Jean this past September; his parents Ida and Charles Dallinga; sisters Martha and Lucille; and brother Harold. Richard is survived by his daughters Susanne (Ed) Tysinger and Linda (Jeff) Capple; grandchildren Heather (Jason) Azem Michelle (Kevin) Cassidy Kari Wright Elizabeth (Brandon) Chech; great-grandchildren Isaac Noah Celine Dylan and Kaley; and his sister Rhea Lewis. He was a graduate of Copley High School. Richard was a staff sergeant in the Army during WWII in the Philippines. He was a master craftsman and carpenter. He was a member of the Carpenters Local Union 285 Copley Lions Cuyahoga Falls Lapidary Club and a lifelong member of Copley United Methodist Church. The family wishes to thank the staff at Chambrel and Hospice of VNS for the loving care of Richard. A Memorial Service will take place at 12:00 PM on Friday December 28 at Copley United Methodist Church 1518 S. Cleve-Mass Rd Copley 44321. Interment will take place at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery immediately following.
