The End of an Era

Richard Stephen Bader, born June 6, 1928, passed away May 1, 2021.
Preceded in death by his parents Stephen Bader DDS and Charlotte Killian; sisters Mary Virginia Firestone, Eileen Wise; brothers John, Lawrence: wife Norma Davis; sons Mark, Richard and daughter Barbara Bishop (Soo Soo). He is survived by son Douglas.
Dick was a dedicated member of Alcoholics Anonymous for 42 years. He will be remembered by many who found a new way of living.
Dick loved Christmas. He accumulated a vast collection of vintage Christmas lights which were displayed for family and friends annually at the Dick and Doug "Light Show". "You've got to dazzle em, keep plugging in lights until the circuit breaker pops, then back off."
He enjoyed his family, playing cards and trips to Chicago. His motto was "Go where you're celebrated not where you're tolerated."
The family will receive friends Saturday, May 15, 2021 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, followed by a memorial service at 1:00 pm, at the Hummel Funeral Home 3475 Copley Rd., Copley 44321. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. Masks Required.
