Richard Allread

Richard L. Allread, 85, passed away Wednesday January 13, 2016. He was born in Muncie, Indiana to Guy and Della (Keys) Allread. He was a graduate of Fort Wayne North High School, received a degree in Industrial Management from Purdue University and a MBA from Xavier University. While proudly serving in the Air Force during the Korean War, he was a Russian Linguist and Cryptologist stationed in Japan. Richard spent his professional career in sales and retired from Willamette Industries. He was a member of St. Paul Episcopal Church. Richard is survived by his wife of 59 years, Jean; children Peter (Laura), Carrie, Tom (Susan), Dan (Michelle); grandchildren Forest (Athena), Dylan, Wyatt, Bizzy, Sam, Jake, Zach, Gabi and Grace; great grandchildren Kai, Wolf and Lark. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 16, 2:00 pm at St. Paul Episcopal Church, 1631 W. Market St, in the Chapel and Memorial Gardens. Donations may be made to the charity of your choice in his name.
