Richard Akers

Richard Akers Jr. 78 of Kent met his sunset on Wednesday July 11 2012. His sunrise was on July 3 1934 in Chagrin Falls where he grew up. Dick was a graduate of Ohio University where his obtained his B.A. in mechanical engineering. He was a very talented piano player loved to play golf and enjoyed fishing contests with his son. Dick will be missed by his children Richard and Linda (Mark) Rensel; grandchildren Lisa Byrne Mark LeFever Tristan Akers Justin Akers Ryan Rensel and Kennedi Rensel and close friend Dora. He is preceded in death by his daughter Debra Akers. At the family's request cremation has taken place. Private memorial services will be held at a later date.
