Becky Beck, 62, passed away on January 30, 2025 after a sudden decline in her health.
Becky was a life long resident of Copley. She graduated in 1981 from Copley High School, where she was a proud member of the band and used her mighty 100 pound frame to throw shot and run track. She attended the University of Akron to study Early Childhood Education. She married Thomas Beck on Valentines Day, 1997. She worked many years in childcare, retail and restaurant jobs while also raising their lovely daughter Ashton.
Becky was a quiet and private person; yet also very witty and fun. She loved all creatures furry and four legged. She was mom to many beloved pets and ran a small diner for neighborhood strays on her front porch. Now healed in heaven, she is no doubt taking long walks with the dogs and playing with the cats that went before her. Those closest to Becky know she was also strong willed liked to have things her way! That part of her personality reflects the strong fighter that she was, especially in this past year.
Left behind to mourn are her husband Tom and daughter Ashton. She will be deeply missed by both of them. Becky is also survived by her mother Margaret Heinbuch; siblings Beth, Eric and Amy; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
It was never Becky's aim to make her presence known; yet her absence will be greatly felt. At her request there will be no services. If desired, a memorial may be made in her name to charities that support animal welfare.
