Phyllis Mayer

October 30, 1962 — July 10, 2016

Phyllis M. Mayer, age 53, passed away on July 10, 2016. She was born on Oct. 30, 1962 in Akron to the late Philipp and Maria Mayer. She enjoyed working as a home health aide where she made many lasting friendships. She was blessed with caring friends and neighbors. A special thanks to Tammy Woodcock and Isabelle Holly for their loving support. Phyllis is survived by her siblings, Kenneth Mayer, Michelle (David) Clapper, and Richard (Ann) Mayer; nieces and nephews, Emily and Noah Clapper and Nicholas and Madison Mayer. Calling hours will be Thursday 6-8 pm at the Hummel Funeral Home, 500 E. Exchange St. Akron, Ohio. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 Friday at Prince of Peace Parish, 1263 Shannon Ave. Barberton, Ohio. Interment at follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
