It is with heavy hearts that we say goodbye to our loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend, Paul Raymond Stuhldreher, 83, who blessed and made happier all the lives he touched. His caring, enthusiastic, and loving attitude is a model for others to follow; the honor, integrity, compassion and humor he possessed became contagious to the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him. He followed in the footsteps of his grandfather and father, working at Goodyear Tire & Rubber for over 48 years. He found great joy in retirement by keeping busy with square dancing, euchre club (always following Hoyle), watching Cleveland sports, and taking trips to see distant family. Giving was in his nature, whether through community service or volunteering at the Blessed Trinity or St Martha's Church. He was most proud of his blood donations of over 30 gallons to the American Red Cross. Paul was a community and neighborhood fixture, known for enjoying the front porch each summer and reading the paper. He will be greatly missed and his spirit will live on through the lessons he taught as a loving husband, father, and grandfather; his devotion to family and community reflect his loving spirit. He was preceded in death by his father (Raymond), mother (Ursula), brother (Raymond), and sister (Jean). He is survived by his loving wife, Pat, of 46 years and sister Marie Kline. He is also survived by his children Jeffry, Brian, Eric, Karen, their spouses, as well as six grandchildren. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, November 20 from 1PM - 4PM at Hummel Funeral Home, 500 E Exchange St, Akron. Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Monday, November 21 at 10AM at Blessed Trinity Church, 300 E Tallmadge Ave, Akron. Burial at Holy Cross Cemetery on Waterloo Road, Akron immediately following Mass. If friends and family would like to make contributions in his memory, please consider the Haven of Rest of Akron and / or The Wounded Warrior Project.
